Commonly Asked Questions

Need help with what to ask a financial advisor? Visit the Financial Conduct Authority.

Deep Blue Financial is an independent Financial Advisory firm. This means that we offer unbiased advice covering a whole range of financial products across the market. We are not limited in our offering.

Our clients receive advice most suitable to their individual circumstances as we aren’t restricted to only a handful of Product Providers.

The initial meeting will be at our expense. All fees and costs will be clearly explained to help you make an informed decision on whether you would like to use our services.

We don’t like any hidden surprises and pride ourselves in always being open and honest when it comes to your money.

As much as we would love to be able to help you with everything, unfortunately we can’t (although it does mean we are experts at what we can advise on!)

The below is not an extensive list, but it’s the things we get asked about the most. Unfortunately, if your query is regarding any of the following, we are not the right match for you:

  • Mortgages
  • DB (Defined Benefit) Pensions
  • Debt management
  • Pension credits

We have a bright and spacious Head Office located by the quayside in Fareham, Hampshire which offers beautiful views across the water, where we have a suite of meeting rooms.

Our Advisers are based all across the south coast in Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex so if you would prefer a meeting in the comfort of your own home, we are more than happy to accommodate this. We are also more than happy to meet in a mutually convenient place.

If a virtual meeting is more to your liking, we can also facilitate video calls on Microsoft Teams, so we have an option for everyone.

Pension consolidation is a service that we offer however there are factors that our Advisers must consider before a consolidation is recommended.

Our Advisers would only ever recommend you consolidate your pensions if it is in your best interest.

The types of Pensions you hold would be discussed at your initial meeting with an Adviser.

We recommend that you bring any Pension or Investment statements that you have, or a note of your policy number(s) if you don’t have any other information. This is a good starting point for us to get an understanding of the policies you have and what you are looking to achieve.

We also ask that you bring 2 forms of ID for us to copy and keep on file.

If there is anything else that you feel is relevant to what you would like to discuss, please feel free to bring this along too.
